Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) will exhibit at the IoT Solutions World Congress 2017 (IOTWC17) in Barcelona, ES and is looking to meet customers for new partnering opportunities to help solve tough IoT challenges. Experts will be available to discuss how ADI is able to support companies with improved technology in the IoT sector. They will share key product insights and answer specific design questions. The visitors will find the ADI booth from 3–5 October at D485/TB4.
ADI demonstrations at IoT Solutions World Congress will include sensor, network and low power microprocessor technology. In our full sensor to cloud solutions we demonstrate healthcare, agriculture and third party IoT solutions from Victotee, IoTeam and Honeywell:
Reliable, low power wireless network
ADI will be showcasing its highly reliable and low power SmartMesh a wireless sensor network. In Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) applications, sensors must be placed in locations optimal for measurement, not for communications (e.g. on vibrating pumps/motors, on vehicles, in multi-story commercial buildings, in industrial processing plants, or in power plants). The demo shows precise time synchronisation across a multi-hop network, a foundational building block for very low duty cycling (for low power) and channel hopping (for reliability).
Industrial IoT applications require sensor nodes to operate reliably for multiple years. Communications downtime means costly technician visits or in some cases, a production “lines-down” problem. SmartMesh solves the “last mile” wireless communications to place sensors/controllers in tough RF environments. SmartMesh is field-proven with over 60,000 customer networks in over 120 countries in such applications as data center energy efficiency, rail-car condition monitoring, smart-parking, smart agriculture and airport fueling applications. Each individual blinking light is controlled by a wireless node using precise time synchronisation. The network uses time synchronization to automatically schedule data traffic with low duty cycling and with channel hopping. Applications may also use time synchronisation for precise timestamping of sensor data.
Highlights at the show also include presentations by Analog Devices experts during the official conference and expert programme:
- Keynote: Extreme IoT/DSK5 – Joy Weiss, vice president, IOT and Security Solutions, Wednesday, October 4th, 09:00-09:30
- Plenary Slot: Hear ADI expert Erick Olsen on Thursday October 5th 11:10am on the “From Farm to Table” http://www.iotsworldcongress.com/agenda/oi10-iot-in-agriculture
Analog Devices executives will be available at IoT Solutions World Congress for press briefings. Journalists, who will not be able to attend the show, will also have the opportunity to arrange telephone interviews.
