Altus Group demonstrates its newest portfolio additions at the WNIE Live

Altus Group, a leading distributor of capital equipment for the electronics assembly industry will be introducing several new portfolio additions to visitorsat the What’s New in Electronics Live from 25-26 September at Birmingham NEC.

A team of experts will be on hand to demonstrate some of the most innovative technology on the market for those within the electronics industry. Much of the equipment being exhibited is focused on the Industry 4.0, concept helping to improve customers’ efficiency with SMART solutions.

Richard Booth, Altus Group managing director said: “We are looking forward to introducing visitors of WNIE to some of the new product lines recently added to our portfolio. There will be equipment from leading suppliers including Koh Young, Scienscope, Quick, Optilia and YJ Link.

“WNIE will allows us to demonstrate a number of machines to a core audience, and give our experienced team the opportunity to meet with new customers and assist them in selecting the right products to match their unique requirements. Our technical experts will provide guidance to customers as they determine the formulation that will deliver the best results.”

Equipment from Koh Young will be a main feature on the stand. The company’s Ksmart Solution is just one of the new additions to Altus’ portfolio. This software works with technologies that have 3D AOI and SPI capabilities and incorporates an ‘Intelligent Platform’ ensuring the highest level of connectivity for all the inspection stations, enhancing overall automation capability.

Altus will also introduce Swedish company, Optilia, leaders in the design and development of visual inspection instruments, for the first time. Having recently been selected as a distributor, Altus will present the latest innovations including the BGA inspection system which produces high-resolution digital pictures with exceptional colour and detail definition. It creates sharp images of solder balls under BGA packages up to 10 rows and to 40 µm component stand-off. Flexia BGA is designed according to the requirements of electronics manufacturers regarding flexibility, image quality and time and cost-effectiveness.
