Altus Group, a leading distributor of capital equipment for electronics assembly, and Accelonix, dominant supplier of electronic and precision manufacturing and test equipment, brought together global leading companies for a one-day seminar investigating manufacturing technology and the latest innovations within the industry.
coNEXTions Technology Day introduced attendees to up and coming industry trends and developments and included on-site demonstrations of the latest capital equipment. The seminar also included presentations by a number of key speakers providing insight into a range of topics.
Richard Booth, general manager Altus said: “Once again coNEXTions was a great success! We met with many like-minded people looking to develop and advance their SMT assembly and test equipment. The seminar was the perfect platform in which to introduce attendees to the latest equipment available to help in their manufacturing needs.
“As well as live demonstrations, we welcomed some of the global leaders in the industry including Koh Young, Systech Europe, Siemens, Vanilla Group, Hindley Circuits, Data I/Q and Cencorp Automation. Each company gave very interesting presentations on subjects like Industry 4.0 and SMART factories which will be affecting us all in the near future.
“What made the technology day even more interesting was giving the audience the opportunity to interact and discuss real-life problems and how they can be overcome. With a room full of experts and leaders in the field, we were able to offer advice and solutions and present equipment that would work to enhance existing manufacturing lines.”
CoNEXTions Technology Day culminated in a tour of the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry which works to support UK manufacturing on a global level.
