OSR leverages SAP Vehicle Insights and SAP Cloud Platform to power mobility-as-a-service

OSR Enterprises AG, creator of the next-generation automotive platform for connected, autonomous, shared and electric mobility, announced yesterday that it has signed a partnership agreement with SAP. Through this partnership, OSR will extend its multi-domain AI Brain and cloud services framework with the SAP Vehicle Insights application deployed on SAP Cloud Platform. The offering will help automotive OEMs and mobility services providers bridge the gap between in-vehicle systems and back-end services to deliver personalised connected car services and optimise fleet utilisation. SAP Vehicle Insights is a cloud application designed to provide fleet managers, mobility service providers and automotive suppliers with driver behaviour analytics and diagnostics about vehicle conditions.

“As automotive OEMs transform into mobility services providers and seek to engage consumers through personalised experiences, they need new technology capabilities to deliver new business models profitably and at scale,” said Orit Shifman, founder and Group CEO of OSR Enterprises AG. “Our cloud services and machine-learning frameworks together with SAP Cloud Platform are the perfect complement to our next-generation in-vehicle artificial intelligence.”

The OSR in-vehicle platform helps simplify the in-vehicle architecture and creates a central data hub that generates rich, real-time data for artificial intelligence and analytical insights. The OSR automotive AI Brain not only provides exceptional in-vehicle data management capabilities, but also delivers the in-vehicle artificial intelligence to generate relevant events that help minimise data traffic and costs. The rich, real-time data can be used to fuel SAP Vehicle Insights, including car fleet analytics, remote diagnostics and preventative maintenance or usage-based insurance. The combination of the OSR cloud services framework and SAP Cloud Platform is expected to provide comprehensive Over-the-Air update capabilities and remote monitoring and control of the vehicular network, all in a cyber secured fashion.

“OSR Enterprises’ automotive platform with its in-vehicle artificial intelligence and enabled by our SAP Cloud Platform and SAP Vehicle Insights will generate a rich set of contextual vehicle data that we hope will create an excellent foundation for data-driven business models and new services,” said Fady Sfeir, vice president, OEM & ISV for EMEA & MEE at SAP. “It is the combination of secured in-vehicle intelligence and the scalable SAP Cloud Platform and services that we anticipate will help empower the digital transformation of automotive companies towards providers of connected car services and on- demand, shared mobile services.”

The OSR next-generation automotive platform is unique in its ability to support the platform consolidation strategies of global OEMs and to deliver new data-driven business models. Customers can leverage the OSR cloud services framework deployed on SAP Cloud Platform to deliver personalised connected vehicle services and to optimise shared mobility fleets.

The offering will be demonstrated at the formal launch of OSR Enterprises AG’s multi-domain AI Brain to a global automotive audience at IAA New Mobility World at the IAA 2017 in Frankfurt, Germany taking place September 12-17th 2017.
