CONEC reduces lead times for D-sub connectors

CONEC, a manufacturer of high-quality machined connectors, has reduced the lead time of its one-piece IP67-rated D-sub series connectors to less than six weeks. This compares to an industry average of a 12 week lead times.  CONEC’s solid-body D-sub connectors have been designed to reduce leakage paths with a reduced parts count, and provide a watertight connection to the panel with a silicone O-ring seal. 

Modular NeoScale mezzanine interconnect delivers optimal signal integrity at 28+ Gbps

Molex Incorporated has launched a new modular NeoScale mezzanine interconnect system capable of achieving optimal signal integrity at data rates of 28+ Gbps. The connector has been designed for printed circuit board (PCB) mezzanine applications in enterprise networking towers and telecommunication hubs and servers, in addition to industrial controllers and medical and military high data-rate scanning equipment.

CSR strengthens audio platform with high fidelity Class-D amplifier technology

CSR has extended and enhanced its audio platform offerings with the acquisition of Direct Digital Feedback Amplifier (DDFA) technology, a proprietary, highly scalable digital Class-D audio amplifier technology which will allow the company to offer a broader, more complete range of audio solutions to OEMs and that will help to simplify system designs and reduce costs.  The DDFA technology will enable CSR to provide complete, high-performance, all-digital audio processing pipelines, from source to speakers, for a variety of wireless and wired active speakers, speaker docks, sound bars and other consumer audio products.

FCI expands Flex Connector offering to address mobile market’s low-profile requirements

C&K Components develops ‘Clickable’ switch concept for complex automotive HMI

C&K Components, a manufacturer of electromechanical switches and smart card interconnect devices, has developed a new component concept for complex automotive human machine interfaces (HMIs). Designated the CLK Series, the energy-free electromechanical device provides consistent, self-guided motion with uniform haptic feedback for automotive touch-sensing HMI applications.  Automotive HMIs that feature capacitive controls, such as touchpads or touchscreens, can integrate the CLK Series inside their architecture to make them ‘clickable’.

Molex Incorporated has announced that the Stac64-e connector for automotive applications has received third party Environmental Claims Validation (ECV). The UL Environment ECV certification confirms that the Stac64-e connector contains 71 percent bio-based content in accordance with ASTM D6866-11.

FTDI unveils USB-to-RS232 cabling solution

The USB solutions specialist Future Technology Devices International Limited (FTDI) has expanded its portfolio of converter cabling solutions with the introduction of the Chipi-X. Measuring just 10 cm, this is a USB-to-RS232 level full-handshake UART cable with a male DB9 connector. The DB9 provides the connectivity for RS232 communications and a USB-A plug deals with USB communications.

Deutsch shows successful connection with Dassault

The specialist civil aerospace connector manufacturer Deutsch has announced that their MC6 optical connector has been specified for use in the Dassault Falcon 7X, the advanced business jet. Deutsch will be showing the MC6 connector, along with its full range of aerospace interconnection solutions, at the Aircraft Interiors Exhibition 2012 later this month.
