NXP brings ARM Cortex-M0 to DALI and DMX512 lighting control systems

NXP Semiconductors has introduced the first development platforms for DALI and DMX512 wired lighting control systems based on the 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 processor. These new evaluation systems feature an NXP LPC1100XL series microcontroller. In addition, the DMX512 system includes a master controller board with the LPC11U00, a highly flexible USB microcontroller, also based on the Cortex-M0.

Tektronix enhances optical modulation analysis solution

Tektronix, a manufacturer of oscilloscopes, has announced that its OM4000 Series Optical Modulation Analyzer can now drive the DSA8300 Digital Sampling Oscilloscope to perform analysis on PM-QPSK, QAM, and other complex-modulation signals with higher vertical resolution than real-time based solutions at lower total system cost.

Agilent unveil fastest real-time oscilloscopes with 63-GHz true analogue bandwidth

Agilent Technologies has introduced the Infiniium 90000 Q-Series of oscilloscopes providing real-time bandwidth of 63 GHz on two channels and 33 GHz on four channels. The new lineup includes 10 four-channel models ranging from 20 GHz to 63 GHz, all of which are bandwidth upgradeable. According to Agilent these new scopes deliver the lowest noise and have the lowest jitter measurement floor in the oscilloscope industry, ensuring superior measurement accuracy.

New NIR Streak camera for measurements up to 1650 nm

Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced a new streak camera with sensitivity in the near infrared region up to 1650 nm that is many orders of magnitude higher than previously available. Like other streak cameras, the new C11293 model is able to simultaneously record intensity vs. time vs. position (or wavelength) with very high temporal resolution.

Agilent introduces fast, accurate LCR meter

Agilent Technologies has introduced the E4982A LCR meter, the latest addition to its LCR family of meters. The E4982A has been designed for use in manufacturing passive components such as SMD inductors and EMI filters, where impedance testing at frequencies of 1 MHz to 3 GHz is required. The E4982A’s powerful list measurements make it suitable for R&D and quality assurance.

Keithley expands measurement capability of S530 parametric test systems

Keithley Instruments is continuing to enhance the capabilities of its S530 Parametric Test Systems, considered one of the most cost-effective solutions for high speed production parametric test. LeCroy introduces dual-channel high resolution Waveform generator

LeCroy Corporation has released the WaveStation series of function/arbitrary waveform generators. The WaveStation is capable of generating signals up to 50 MHz and offers a 3.5” display, intuitive front panel, 2 output channels on all models and PC waveform editing software. The new models are available with bandwidths of 10 MHz, 25 MHz and 50 MHz; each with 125 MS/s sampling rate, 14-bit resolution and 16 kpts memory per channel.

EFM32 Gecko development kit now available

IAR Systems provides tools for V850E2 MCUs from Renesas Electronics

IAR Systems has unveiled a new suite of tools to support the V8500E2 series of microcontrollers from Renesas Electronics. The V850E2/Fx4-L series features very low power consumption and offers high functionality and has been designed for the automotive comfort and body segment and for applications such as roof or window lifters, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), body control modules, and door, seat and light modules.
