CISSOID has introduced a new product to their Planet family of high temperature transistors and switches. Earth is a high temperature 80V N-channel power MOSFET Transistor guaranteed for operation from -55°C up to 225°C, and enhances a family that already comprises of Venus (PMOS), Saturn (40V NMOS) and Mercury (small signal transistor). The new device is available in two versions, rated respectively for 5A and 10A maximum drain current.
Both versions of Earth MOSFETs, referenced CHT-NMOS8005 and CHT-NMOS8010, exhibit impressive high temperature performances. At 225°C, CHT-NMOS8005’s gate leakage current remains below 500nA, while its drain off current is as low as 20µA and its turn-on delay time is 30ns. On-resistance and input capacitance of the family range respectively from 0.25Ω to 0.5Ω and from 410pF to 850pF.
The Earth family enables the design of any system requiring reliable power control in a harsh environment from -55°C to 225°C. This includes motor drivers, DC-DC converters, SMPS and inverters. With either version of this CISSOID power MOSFET, system designers can improve cost, reliability and weight whilst eliminating the need for fluid cooling in applications such as industrial process control, car battery chargers and aircraft actuators.
