Powersolve announces the TSPC-240UPS, a power supply designed to provide an integrated high-performance battery management system capable of charging and monitoring most types of external lead-acid batteries. It is a complete UPS system in a compact DIN-rail mount housing and incorporating a host of features designed to protect the battery and the unit from a series of fault conditions.
Input voltage range for the TSPC-240UPS can be 85 to 132VAC or 187 to 264VAC while output voltage is 24VDC at 10A. Hold-up time is 10ms. The unit protects the battery against over voltage, deep discharge, short circuit and reverse connection and there are alarm outputs for input, output and battery condition.
To avoid overcharging the battery, an external temperature sensor adjusts the battery voltage automatically to the required of end of charge voltage. According to Powersolve, this can extend the life of the battery. The unit also provides an external on/off input to switch off the power supply and battery.
Operating temperature range is -25 to +70⁰C max, derating above +60⁰C:2.5%K. The TSPC-240UPS power supply meets a wide range of international safety standards enabling its use across a wide range of applications including industrial control equipment, IT equipment and control systems for hazardous locations.
